RESOLVING WATER CAPACITY TO ACCELERATE HOUSINGThe Vision: We cannot achieve our housing targets without essential infrastructure. A top priority is addressing the immediate water supply constraints within the Mannheim Service Area that are currently limiting development approvals across multiple municipalities.The Execution: I will champion data-driven infrastructure investments—such as optimizing existing wells and fast-tracking the Maple Grove Water Treatment Plant—to secure the capacity needed for future high-density growth. By aligning these infrastructure roadmaps with provincial housing mandates, we can deliver homes efficiently while maintaining safe, reliable service.STRATEGIC REGIONAL GROWTH & FISCAL DISCIPLINEThe Vision: Implementing an executive-led management model to navigate large-scale organizational change and manage our rapid population growth, while respecting the established character of our local neighbourhoods.The Execution: I would use any enhanced governance tools responsibly, transparently, and only where they help advance clear regional priorities such as housing-enabling infrastructure, service efficiency, and responsible growth.COLLABORATIVE GOVERNANCE & CONSENSUS BUILDINGThe Vision: Functioning as a strong facilitator across the Region’s lower-tier municipalities to build an atmosphere of transparency, shared vision, and trust.The Execution: Drawing on my 30-year private-sector corporate leadership background to manage complex stakeholder relations, ensure transparent allocation of critical resources like water capacity, and bridge municipal-provincial lines to deliver exceptional service.
